ApR-DeC 2019

Suratomica is a space for creation and collaboration between art and science where artists from the Global South will strengthen their practice through cooperation and encounters with scientists and their environments.

The program enables new ways of dialogue between scientific thinking and artistic knowledge, promoting open access to creation in these fields and aiming to strengthen the reflection from the Global South upon science, development and access to knowledge.

This first edition, which will be held in Bogotá and Geneva, will host Colombian artists at CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research in Switzerland, for a two-week interdisciplinary science program. Likewise, artists and scientists currently associated with CERN will be invited to Colombia.
